In addition to his many accolades as a business entrepreneur and philanthropist, Zalman Silber has also given back by returning to various schools as an educator to lecture on his many business successes and the many opportunities available for today’s smart, motivated business students.

Zalman Silber began his professional career as an agent for New York Life Insurance. Several years later, he had developed a nearly $9-million entertainment business which sprang from one simple idea - a simulated helicopter tour of New York City that was located in the Empire State Building.

Zalman has returned to Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business as a guest lecturer for several of the school’s renowned business lecture series. During this lecture to an undergraduate business class at Cornell University, Silber discussed his professional background. In addition, he shares thoughts on what defines a good business idea, creating solid financial projections and understanding risk. He also shares personal examples of issues related to ethics and success.

Along with other successful business people, Zalman has also participated in a series of lectures at Cornell University, sponsored by the Department of Applied Economics and Management.
